Brief introduction
Located on the bank of Song Huong- Perfume River; Hue, the capital of Thua Thien Hue province in Central Vietnam, is 700 km southern Hanoi, 1100km northern Ho Chi Minh City, and only a few miles from the sea. Not until 1945 was Hue the national capital, the political, cultural and religious center of Vietnam under the control of Nguyen Dynasty. Most well-known for its historic values; Hue had been recognized as one of the World Heritage Sites by UNESCO.

Many of this area in Hue are surprisingly still intact and trips to the city hold promise for great times and memories. Starting in Hue, you’ll enjoy many sites that reflect the city’s rich history, while others are more focused on relaxation and soaking up the area’s natural beauty. Highlights include the Hue Royal Fine Arts Museum, housed within the former Dien Long An Royal Palace, and the city’s private garden houses with connections to the old Royal Imperial Court. Its well-preserved structures from the 15th to the 19th centuries are perfect examples of architecture that blends local and foreign influences, making the town a popular destination for tourists.
